This page explains the cookies and similar local storage this site uses. It's a companion to our Privacy Policy, which covers how we handle personal information more broadly.
What we use today
Marrow & Vale uses only cookies and browser storage that are strictly necessary to run the site and checkout — for example, remembering your display preferences (theme, contrast, language) and supporting a secure checkout session with our payment processor, Stripe. We do not use third-party advertising cookies, ad trackers, or cross-site tracking pixels.
Essential cookies and storage
- Display preferences — your theme, contrast, and language choices, stored in your browser's local storage so they persist between visits.
- Checkout session — cookies set by Stripe during checkout, needed to process your payment securely. See Stripe's privacy policy for details on their handling of this data.
- Cookie notice acknowledgement — a small local flag recording that you've seen and dismissed our cookie notice, so it doesn't show again.
No non-essential cookies right now
Because we don't currently run advertising or third-party analytics on this site, there's no "accept vs. reject" choice to make — everything in use is necessary for the site to function. If that changes (for example, if we add analytics or marketing tools), we'll update this policy and add real accept/reject controls for those categories before turning them on.
Managing cookies in your browser
You can clear or block cookies and local storage through your browser's settings at any time. Doing so may reset your display preferences or interrupt an in-progress checkout.
